Activity description

Kayak 5km along the Table Bay shores and take in some of the most iconic scenery South Africa has to offer on this amazing guided tour.

Navigate the South Pacific waters around Cape Town, with unforgettable views of Signal Hill, Table Mountain and the 12 Apostles.

In your very own purpose-built, handmade kayak you’ll be set for a once in a lifetime adventure on this truly unforgettable tour!

Location
Table Bay sits on South Africa’s south-east coast next to Cape Town. It is surrounded by beautiful and imposing landscapes that include the iconic Table Mountain. The bay sits on the South-Atlantic Ocean and is very popular with international tourists. Cape Town has a well-connected international airport located less than 20km from the city centre. It is also known for its well-located harbour, an important stop on the international trade route.

Activity
Meet your team for a full briefing and safety run down. You will then be fitted for your safety equipment and given a test run on your kayak to make sure you’re comfortable in your vessel. Then it’s off to the first port of call, Green Point Lighthouse, which has been in use since 1824. This big and bold coloured lighthouse with its red and white stripes is unique in shape, and design. Here you’ll see amazing landscape views of Lion’s Head. Next stop is the shipwreck of RMS Athens. This ship was pushed into land during a hurricane in 1865. It remains a popular spot for divers and lots of the remains can still be seen above sea level. This area is one of the favourite hangouts for Heaviside Dolphins that play here throughout the year. Other ocean life in the area includes penguins, seals and thousands of fish species. Once you’ve had a chance to take in the spectacular scenery, you’ll slowly head back to Table Bay to reminisce about this truly spectacular day!
