Activity description

Uncover the secrets of The Costa Blanca on this sea kayaking trip from Altea, Alicante.

Discover the untamed beauty of Serra Gelada Natural Park on this kayaking excursion from the quaint town of Altea near Benidorm. A conservation area best explored from the tideline, paddle at your own pace as you uncover secret caves, sandy bays, and even meet the areas most recent residents – a pod of bottlenose dolphins!

Location
Altea is a 15-minute drive from Benidorm in Alicante. A seaside resort that neighbors the Serra Gelada Natural Park, this mountain & marine conservation area spans 13,750 acres and is best explored by boat & hiking trails along the Mediterranean Sea.

Activity
Meet your guide at the activity base for this sea kayaking excursion along the coastline of Serra Gelada National Park. Setting off from the town of Altea, start in the shallows with an introduction to kayaking and a few of the basic strokes you’ll need to use throughout the day.

A leisurely half-day excursion, this scenic excursion traces the coastline – exploring the many caves and rock formations that are found during low tide. One of the most important seabird and marine life sanctuaries in southern Spain, it is also an amazing location for snorkeling - so don’t forget to pack your mask!

During the day, you’ll have a chance to discover more about the Costa Blanca from your guide, stopping in shallow bays for a swim – returning to Altea where your adventure will end.

Condition
Operating from March to December, this activity uses two-seater open-top kayaks (single-seater on request). Navigating the shoreline of Serra Gelada Natural Park, this shallow, safe and calm coastline in Costa Blanca is suitable for total beginners – but may be affected by strong winds or weather conditions.
