Head deep into Torneresse Gorge on this wild water canyoning excursion.
Belly slide into the adventure on this extreme nature trail in the heart of Pays-d'Enhaut Regional National Park! A hands-on experience that will have you cliff jumping, scrambling, sliding and swimming, follow an experienced guide through narrow ravines, hidden waterfalls and exciting sinkholes – embracing the elements at every turn!
This activity is run & operated from Château d’Oex in the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland. Situated 1km from Etivaz in Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut National Park, reaching Torneresse Gorge includes a short nature hike in and out of the canyon.
Meet your guide at the activity base in Château d’Oex for this canyoning excursion to Torneresse Gorge. A white water course that has carved its way through the bedrock of the low Alps, this accessible ravine is a great place for young beginners and curious big kids alike! Starting with a short safety briefing and kit breakdown – learn the rope techniques and study the route you’ll be following with your experienced guide. After kitting up, walk through the forest of Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut National Park to reach the start of the gorge, following the flow of the river on a 2-hour descent. From here it’s an all or nothing adventure, working as a team to overcome obstacles and push your limits as you head right into the belly of Torneresse – sliding headfirst down toboggans, jumping into freshwater pools, rappelling down waterfalls and swimming through ravines – just big enough to squeeze through! The highlight? An 8m boulder jump into a fast flowing river channel but don’t worry, your guide is on hand at all times – making it a fun & accessible adventure for all ages & abilities!
