This activity takes place in Nungwi on the Northern tip of Zanzibar. Due to Zanzibar's welcoming tropical conditions, diving is suitable for divers of all levels. This also makes it a great place to get your PADI certificate – offering 8 dive sites around Nungwi.
Meet your dive master in Nungwi for this PADI Open Water course in northern Zanzibar. A three-day itinerary following a PADI-approved curriculum, go from the pool to the open ocean in less than a week – sampling some of the best shore dives Zanzibar has to offer as part of the course. An itinerary the covers both the practical and theoretical aspects of diving, start with an intro dive – getting you used to the weights, tanks and respirator– teaching you how to dive to a maximum depth of 18m. Once you’ve mastered the basics it’s time to leave the safety of the pool and head out to explore Zanzibar’s famous dive sites – discovering shore sites and nearby coral reefs, practising additional dive skills in the shallow water. Once you have mastered these skills in shallow water, it is time to practice them in deeper water, on your second Open water dive to 12 meters – receiving your temporary PADI Open Water Diver certification.

To enrol in a PADI Open Water Diver course you need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
