Who said you need to go beneath the surface to explore the spectacular waters of Zanibar? A lot of the magical underwater world can be admired from the surface while snorkelling.
Those who prefer to stay on the surface simply must go for a snorkelling excursion to the stunning Mnemba Atoll, which is regarded as the best snorkelling and diving area in Zanzibar. Thanks to Dive Point Zanzibar's location, you'll have easy access to the best snorkelling spots in Mnemba.
Your first time snorkelling? Not to worry, there's always a team member who'll guide the group in the water and make sure that everybody is safe and happy. The instructor will also share useful tips and advice to make sure you get the most out of your time in the waters of Zanzibar.
The lucky ones amongst you may even spot the occasional dolphin while snorkelling.
The diver centre uses three dive boats: two 9 meter wooden diving dhows called "Pole Pole" ("slowly slowly" in Swahili) and "Kati Kati"" ("in between" in Swahili), not very fast but comfortable, used more for closer dive sites. They also have an 8 meter Superduck called "Pili Pili" ("spicy spicy" in Swahili), with two 85 hp Yamaha engines which enables you to travel to further. The boats are equipped with First Aid kits.
Sometimes the dive centre will combine divers and snorkelers on one boat and sometimes they're sent separately, it all depends on the situation.
