Get the VIP treatment on the snorkelling trip to Koh Maiton Island.
An underwater safari with serious WOW factor, head to the private island of Koh Maiton for a reef adventure that’s anything but ordinary. Unlike your average Phuket day trip, this excursion takes place at late afternoon – allowing you to avoid the tourist boats and explore this island past curfew- diving in as the sun sets on the horizon – and discovering it by torchlight, too!
This activity takes place near Koh Maiton, a beautiful tropical island just off Phuket’s east coast. Just 2.5 km across at its widest point, it is ringed by beautiful golden sands and palm trees as well as crystal-clear waters and vibrant coral reefs.
Meet your boat team at the harbour in Chalong Bay for this snorkelling excursion in Phuket. Suitable for groups of friends and families alike, Koh Maiton island is privately owned and access to it is extremely limited – meaning that those who can get there will enjoy breathtaking natural beauty, entirely unspoilt by mass tourism. Spend your day snorkelling in the various coral reefs nearby and discovering colourful marine life. In between snorkelling, you will be served a traditional Thai lunch and learn more about the local ecology from your guide. This perfect late afternoon tour gets even better as all the boats leave and you get to watch the sunset over the Andaman Sea. Before heading back, you will have the opportunity to enter the water once more with flashlights to explore the coral reef night creatures. Truly an unforgettable experience, return to Phuket by 9pm.
Renowned for its colourful reefs with both hard and soft coral, Koh Maiton and Koh Hee are great for spotting marine life. Diving just off-shore, you can encounter turtles, cuttlefish and an array of other colourful tropical sea life.
Operating from November to March, this activity is suitable for young children and unconfident swimmers alike. Koh Maiton is a private island and access to the beach is prohibited – flotation aids are available on request.
