The perfect place to start your underwater adventure, explore the safe, shallow and exciting coral reefs that lie just below the surface at famous Jumeirah Beach! Under the supervision of an experienced divemaster, learn how to use basic scuba diving equipment and discover to a maximum depth of 12m on an introductory dive!
This activity is run & operated from the dive centre on Jumeriah Beach. Located in central Dubai, the Persian Gulf coast has a selection of small coral gardens and artificial reefs ranging in depth from 6m to 25m.
Meet your guide at the activity base on Jumeriah Beach for this discover scuba diving experience. An introduction to scuba diving without the need to commit to a full PADI course, learn the basics and enjoy the safe, shallow dive sites that can be reached from the shore! Starting out with a short safety briefing and kit breakdown, your divemaster will explain how to wear a tank, regulator, weights and soft kit – taking you through the diving commands and how-tos before you head to the water’s edge. Supervised by your instructor, get used to breathing through a regulator and establish your breathing patterns – moving from the sandy-bottomed beach to the outlying reef. Here, you’ll enjoy up to 45-minute dive to a minimum depth of 5 meters (15 feet) and the maximum depth of 12 meters (40 feet) – looking out for manatees, mini urchins, school of fish and, if you’re lucky, a migrating sea turtle!
This activity is run & operated from Jumeirah Beach and the shallow coral reef that is accessed from the beach. Unlike other dive sites, all dives are done from the beach and there are no pool or classroom sessions.
All necessary instruction and equipment will be provided. To ensure a fun and worry-free dive, a professional instructor will accompany you every step of the way, from getting into the water, exploring the reef and going back to the shore.
Please note you are not allowed to fly for up to 24 hours after your last dive.
