Get to know Åre Sleddog Adventures

Take a scenic and fun dog-sledding ride through the snowy landscape of Åre, Sweden with Åre Sleddog Adventures!

Åre Sleddog Adventures began in 1984 making it the longest-standing dog sledding business in the Åre valley. The company’s kettle contains about 50 trained Alaskan Huskies. When the dogs are not busy working their day jobs, they sometimes compete in long-distance competitions in both Sweden and Norway. These huskies are strong, persistent, and friendly! After many years in the mountains with them, Åre Sleddog owners are still astonished by their devotion and loyalty.

Owner Tommy Bernhardsson grew up in the mountains of Jämtland and has a natural interest in wildlife. Hunting, fishing, skiing, and walking expeditions all led him to work as a guide and professional dog-musher. Today, he, his fiancée Carina, and their team offer clients unforgettable moments out on the snow with their loyal, fun, and adventurous dogs.

Very lovely couple, they were very friendly and made sure we had a good time. After the dog sledding they joined us for some coffe and some biscuits. We had a nice conversation and they gave us some great tips in the area which we really enjoyed.
