Get to know Cornwall Surf Academy

Discover the UK's pristine National Trust coastline with coasteering and surfing lessons in Holywell Bay, courtesy of Cornwall Surf Academy.

Run and operated on one of the UK's best beaches, Cornwall Surf Academy has been using Holywell Bay as its base since 2003. Working closely with the National Trust to ensure Britain's coastline is well-maintained and looked after, Cornwall Surf Academy represents a collective of ISA surf instructors that are also fully trained beach lifeguards with the Royal Life Saving Association.

Running surf lessons throughout the year at Holywell Bay,  Newquay, Cornwall Surf Academy also has three international surf camps in Sri Lanka, Portugal & Indonesia. In the last few years, the company has grown to include a signature coasteering excursion in addition to the surf school.

On the beach, you can explore the fascinating grotto-like Holywell Cave with its calcium deposits and, at low tide, a wreck of an old Argentinian coaster can be seen just offshore. At high tide, there is ample room amongst the dunes, some of which rise up 60 feet!

Working closely with the National Trust to protect and preserve the shoreline, Cornwall Surf Camp is privileged to conserve this area - a scenic and lesser-known bay is ideal for surfing your first wave of cliff jumping from the rocky peninsular!

Join Cornwall Surf Camp at Holywell Bay in Newquay for one of their famous beginner's surfing lessons or head off the map and explore the coastline at low tide with coasteering excursions.
