Founded in 1998, Rafting Lao is an outdoor adventure expert specialising in whitewater adventure on the Lao River. Staffed by local and international lead guides, their team are recognized by the UISP (Italian Union for Sport for All) and CONI. Working with a select group of Firaft guides (Italian Rafting Federation) and expert kayakers, all adventure leaders have a personal passion for the river environment combined with professionalism and years of experience gained, not only on the Lao and in Italy, but above all during the many expeditions abroad (Argentina, Chile, Peru , Colombia, Nepal, Madagascar, Slovenia, France, Corsica).

Based in Papasidero, the activity base offers easy access to the banks of the Lao river - the perfect place for their famous whitewater rafting, canyoning and gorge walking excursions. Situated in Pollino National Park, Italy's largest protected area, it's location in southern Italy between Basilicata and Calabria makes it a popular spot for extreme sports and family-friendly excursions - travelling to it's impressive karst gorges, grottos and impressive canyon systems.
