Sardinia rests in the western Mediterranean Sea, 450km from Italy’s mainland east coast. It’s capital Cagliari, sits deep on the southern tip and is surrounded by beautiful bays and beaches on a stretch on a bay known as the Gulf of Cagliari.
One of the most well-known beaches in the Gulf is Spiaggia del Poetto, running eight kilometres from Sella del Diavalo (the Devil’s Saddle) to Quartu Sant’Elena. With its golden sands and crystal-clear waters, it is one of the most visited spots in Sardinia.
