Justin Hawthorne
Justin is a qualified Adventure Tourist Guide specializing in “off trail” mountain guiding and trekking below 2700m AMSL throughout South Africa & currently registered to guide in the Western Cape. He is a member of the Mountain Club of South Africa and has been a volunteer mountain hiking guide for the Table Mountain National Park since 2007. Justin travels whenever possible and has a particular interest in trekking the tropical mountains of the Philippines. He holds a National Diploma in Civil Engineering, obtained from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.

Mark Hawthorne
Mark is a qualified, registered Culture and Nature Tourist Guide (Western Cape including the Garden Route) with a vast knowledge of South Africa’s Cultural and Natural Heritage. Born in Cape Town, growing up on the slopes of Table Mountain, Mark followed his passion and qualified with a National Diploma in Nature Conservation working in this field for 32 years – including 2 years with Cape Nature Conservation and 30 years in the Table Mountain National Park – until 2012.

Mark is passionate about trekking and guiding hikes and enjoys sharing his knowledge on South Africa’s rich and diverse cultural and natural heritage – especially with regards to the Cape Floristic Kingdom, wetlands, birdlife and the Afro-montane forest ecology.

Mark made a significant contribution during his career in promoting environmental awareness and in 2003 he was the proud recipient of the Cape Times/Caltex Environmental Award, for outstanding achievement in the Natural and Cultural Environment in the Category Professional Individual or Group, which was a highlight in his career.

Lindsay Hawthorne
Lindsay is a qualified, registered Cultural Tourist Guide who was born in Cape Town and grew up in the suburb of Fish Hoek. She spent a year travelling in Europe and has always had a love of travel and nature. Having managed two curio stores in Simon’s Town and at Boulders Beach, Lindsay followed her interest for sharing the beauty and unique places with visitors and loves being an ambassador for the beautiful city of Cape Town.

Guide très sympathique, disponible, généreux de ses connaissances et respectueux du rythme. AussiJe pense qu'il était possible de prévoir la forte affluence ce jour-là et qu'on aurait dû me suggérer d'acheter mon bille de cableway à l'avance. j'ai dû faire la file durant trois heures pour me procurer mon billet de cableway.
