What to do in Jeffreys Bay

Jeffreys Bay, is a tranquil coastal town in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, nestled between the magnificent mountains of the Baviaanskloof mountain range and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

This destination is known for its world-class beaches, boasting the beautiful white sand Paradise Beach, an overlooked tourist-free spot which definitely lives up to its name and Dolphin Beach, the area’s prestigious Blue Flag beach, the perfect place for some family fun.

Head out of Jeffreys Bay and get back to nature, with opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and wildlife-watching in the surrounding national parks. Addo Elephant National Park, an hour and a half’s drive north east, is a popular spot for families to enjoy some elephant-watching in an expansive wildlife conservation park - also home to zebras, lions and endangered black rhinos. For some peace and quiet, visit the Groendal Wilderness Area, just north east of Jeffreys Bay, and hike through rugged untouched landscapes, past the KwaZunga river, and in amongst beautiful local flora and fauna.
