Charleroi: The Popular Sport activities

Charleroi: What to do when you get there?

Just an hour away from Brussels you’ll find Charleroi, a city and municipality of Wallonia. It is well-known for having the second largest airport in Belgium, due to its great central location.

The charming little pedestrian streets will lead you to the centre of Charleroi unveiling the 350 years of history with every step. Whilst touring the city on foot you will find charismatic cafes & restaurants and in the south you’ll find the beautiful train station "Station Charleroi-Zuid".

Even though it’s known mainly as an airport city, Charleroi has a pair of extreme hidden wonders. It has circuit which was created back in 1978 in Rognée that was recently renovated and modified to be used as a motocross circuit and other off-road sports.

The city also has the first ever indoor skydiving establishment of the town, opening its doors to adrenaline hunters that are in the city for a short visit, or even for the thrill-seeking travellers that are in-transit at Charleroi Airport.  Which means… you can always do at least one exhilarating activity before you make your way to your final destination!
