Megève: What to do when you get there?

A famous ski resort located in the Haute Savoie department, Megève is situated near the Mont-Blanc in the French Alps.

The first purpose built resort, it was originally created for the French aristocracy and remains one of the most luxurious ski resorts in the world.

Megève's Alpine skiing area, known as the "Domaine Évasion Mont-Blanc", comprises of Megève itself (Mont d'Arbois, L'Alpette, Rochebrune and Côte 2000), Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, Combloux, La Giettaz, Les Contamines-Montjoie and Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce. The "Evasion Mont-Blanc" range covers approx. 445 km of the ski slopes.

With its large variety of slopes, there is something for everyone. From beginners to experts, skiers of all levels will find a slope to their taste and requirements.

However, Megève’s winter sports are not just limited to skiing, here you can also enjoy speedriding excursions and maybe even try the new innovative sport called Wingjumping! Megève is the only ski resort in France where you can actually practice this fun activity!

In summer Megève attracts many mountain bikers, as the tracks and breath-taking views are incomparable to anything else.  Most riders make their way to Portes du Mont Blanc, famous for its single and freeriding tracks. Away from the mass, this area has maintained its wild aspect; the tracks are in great condition and are similar to those found in enduro.
