Tignes, espace killy

Sitting on the border next to Aosta Valley, Italy, Tignes is a French commune situated in the south-east of France, in the Tarentaise Valley. Tignes was the venue for the Winter Olympics freestyle skiing in 1992.

Tignes is famous for being a popular ski resort, forming the ‘Espace Killy’ along with Val d'Isère. Beginners, experts and everyone in between can find something exciting to do here all year round. You can ski on the slopes, freeride ski or freestyle ski. The ski resort has great fun areas such as the snowpark, halfpipe, airbag, boardercross and gliss’park!

Those of you who want to try a new winter activity can give ice diving a shot. You’ll dive in Tignes frozen lake, surrounded by stunning mountains. Or why not try a new twist on the bungee jump, with Bun J Ride Jump – a cross between skiing and bungee jumping!

Thanks to the stunning glaciers, you can even go skiing in Tignes in summer! The glaciers accumulate to over 20km of ski slopes.

In summer you can also go mountain biking in the Bike Park, access to the Bike Park is FREE! It is open from the end of June to the end of August – ideal to keep children occupied during the summer holidays!

Don’t worry skaters, we haven’t forgotten about you! Tignes houses a state of the art skate park with a range of features; quarter pipes, ramps, bank to ledge and many more!

Water sports fan can go rafting and kayaking in the Isere currents and climbers can reach for the highest summit – how daring are you?

Tignes is so much more than just a ski resort – it’s fantastic holiday destination that caters for all members of the family.

A tick in several boxes...ice, altitude and fresh water dive!
