Karpathos is the second largest of the Greek Dodecanese island network. It is found in the southeastern Aegean sea. Together with the neighboring smaller Saria island it forms the municipality of Karpathos, and the Karpathos regional unit. From its remote position from the mainland, Karpathos has well preserved many peculiarities in dressing, customs and dialectss. Closer to Rhodes, Crete and Cyprus, Karpathos is a magnificent destination if you are looking for an alternative destination for your holidays, away from the crowds. 

Karpathos remains one of the top destinations for all kinds of watersports. Kitesurfing is the most famous sport in the island with 2 well known kite spots. Windsurfing is also very known in the island, with excellent conditions to practice year round. Scuba diving in exceptional underwater caves and wrecks will be the highlight of your holidays. 

Visit Karpathos by plane or by ferries from the neighboring islands - Crete, Rhodes. There are also daily flights from Athens, Rhodes or Crete. In 2018 there are some scheduled flights to be announced from european airports.
