Paxos island is one of the top twenty greatest escapes in the world! A small island in the Ionian sea just a few kilometres southern than the famous Corfu island.

Paxos or Paxoi in plural as it is called by the Greeks is an ideal destination if you wanna run away from the crowded cosmopolitan beaches and live the real traditional Greek life. 

Paxos has no airport and an be reached either by ferry boats from Parga (western mainland Greece) or from Corfu. You will find endless olive groves and vineyards in the island and many picturesque villages influenced by the Roman and Venetian era.

The capital of Paxos is Gaios a colourful village and main port of the island, offering traditional accommodation and tasteful tavernas. You will be feeling relaxed in a peaceful island of 2,300 friendly inhabitants. 

You can expect to find crystal clear blue waters, very refreshing during the summer. The beaches are quite rocky and bold with caves, cliffs and arches. There are plenty of activities to do in the island, with the most famous being scuba diving and snorkeling.
