Pelion: What to do when you get there?

Pelion is a mountain in the middle-eastern Greece with Volos being the main city of the area. The thickly forested mountains offer exquisite views to the Aegean sea and the islands across!

A great spot to explore the natural life in Greece and indulge in local delicacies while enjoying most mountain sports like canyoning and rafting. 

If you take a look on the map you will remark that peninsula looks like a hook coming out of the mainland. It's a place of extreme beauty with picturesque villages in every 10 km. The roads are easy accessible and you will be charmed by the combination of the rocky mountains and the sea. Great places to visit is Tsangarades, Agios Ioannis, Agios Georgios, Makrinitsa, Milies and Argalasti. 

Rafting in the rivers of Pelion is a great experience that no one's allowed to miss. Canyoning as well is a must-do. Trekking to the highest peak at 1610m. will leave you breathless while enjoying the great views to the gulf. In the end you can go diving in one of the beaches!
