Skyros: What to do when you get there?

The island of Skyros rests to be explored in the Sporades region in the north Aegean sea. A unique island with many activities to do - a real gem for the adventure lovers who wish to explore something new in Greece.

Skyros is not a big island. You can go around the island in 80 minutes. The southern part is famous for the sandy beaches when you will be covered from the strong winds during the summer. History and nature combine to offer you whatever you wish during your holidays at Skyros.

Most probably if you are visiting Skyros you are staying at the Chora. Built on the hill, the village has the typical Cycladic architecture and on the top of the hill you can see the fortress and Saint George's church.

What to do on the island? Apart from exploring the beaches you can go trekking from the top of the mountain to the most secluded beaches. Everything can be covered on foot. The island is famous for its lobsters, so why not dive in the sea and try to find out where the lobsters live?

Skyros is not so touristic, so if you are looking for holidays away from the masses this is gonna be ideal for you!
