Gressoney: What to do when you get there?
Nestled at the centre of the Monterosa three valleys (Gressoney, Alagna and Champoluc), Gressoney is part of the ski area Monterosa Ski.
Gressoney spreads around a narrow uncontaminated valley at 1818 meters at the feet of the southern side of Monte Rosa, and its divided in two charming mountain villages Gressoney-La-Trinité and Gressoney-Saint-Jean. The two villages create a picturesque landscape of Walser architectures topped by magnificent presence of Monte Rosa on the back.
Gressoney is easily reachable by car from Milan, Turin and also from France thanks to the Tunnel of Mont Blanc.
Despite the excellence of the ski conditions, Monterosa Ski is remains wild and unspoiled, with a friendly and authentic atmosphere. Thanks to the abundance of snow and kilometres of skiable domain, Monterosa ski is considered by many one of Europe's best destination for freeride skiing, heliskiing and backcountry skiing.
