Best things to do in Punta trettu
Punta Trettu is a famous kite spot and among the best in Sardinia. It is located in front of Sant'Antioco's Penninsula in San Giovanni Suergiu few kilometres away from Cagliari.
The bay is naturally protected by the San Pietro Island and the Penninsula of Sant'Antioco, blocking the waves and accelerating the winds. The result is a flat lagoon with great wind conditions. Punta Trettu is perfect for beginners and freestyle riders thanks to its vast shallow flat water with sandy bottoms.
Punta Trettu works with all types of winds all year: Scirocco, west and northwest winds which are usually helped by the theraml effect which adds a couple of extra winds to your sail.
The spot is only a 400m walk out from the parking lot, and the launch area is big enough to host around 30 kites.
