Denbighshire: What to do when you get there ?

Denbighshire, located in northern Wales has become an extreme sports hub, where you can go rafting, tubing, gorge walking, canyoning, kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddling, rock climbing and even 4x4 excursions.

Scale the ice sculpted limestone scarp of Eglwyseg towering over the Vale of Llangollen, Valley Crucis Abbey and the mysterious Castle of Dinas Bran. Once you reach the top you’ll be able to enjoy breath-taking views from one of the best vantage points. And let’s not forget the 90ft abseil. Talk about ending on a high note!

Water sport junkies can get their fix with a gorge walking or canyoning excursion in Llangollen. In Afson Prysor Canyon you’ll abseil down a roaring waterfall, scramble over moss covered rocks and leap in to the icy waters of a crystal clear mountain river. Gorge walking is probably one of the most exciting group activities you would could share as a group in Denbighshire. It’s a combination of gliding down natural water slides, diving into deep pools and getting past or over natural obstacles.

Want to become one with the river, then why not opt for a tubing or rafting excursion in the River Dee. Cover a maximum of 4km and experience rapids such as Serpents tail, Boulder blast, Tombstones, Town falls and many more!

Enjoy an exciting journey through the historic Dee Valley and World Heritage Site with a kayaking, canoeing and stand up paddling outing.
