The Bay of Pouliguen, or Bay of La Baule, is an isolated spot, in the form of a crescent, where a bunch of water activities are possible.

Historically, La Baule was always a hot spot for sports, especially because of its hippodrome. Today, with the huge development of water and wind sports, the bay has become THE spot for people of any level. Whether you wish to get a taste of kitesurf, windsurf or stand up paddle, or you are looking for a closed and secure place to practice new tricks, you will find there the perfect waves and weather conditions.

The west wind and swell create beautiful waves (up to 9ft from the beginning of winter until spring) that surfers of every level are happy to ride and train on. As soon as April shows up, the elements rest a bit and waters become relatively flat, with only a few waves left on the shores, ans as soon as you take some distance, navigatoin is a real blast!

Many pedestrian and mountain bike hikes are available all around the region of La Baule, whether in the salt pans or along the windswept cliffs. Discover the rich History and medieval villages with strong bretons heritage.
