Go deep into nature and explore the untouched, winter landscapes of Bulgaria’s highest mountain range in this ski touring adventure!
Your 2-day excursion is designed for experienced skiers who love a satisfying challenge as you’ll get to take in incredible, panoramic views skiing down Musala peak (2925 meters), the highest peak of the Balkans. You’ll also get to explore the pistes of Borovets Ski Resort, the oldest winter resort in Bulgaria with 58 kilometers of slopes to discover.
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to the Mountains
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Sofia and you’ll be driven 1.5 hours to Borovets Ski Resort. From there, you’ll take a gondola ride up to an altitude of 2300 meters where you’ll embark on your 4-hour ski touring adventure to the peak! Expect the route to have no technical difficulties with a gradual incline. For the final meters to the peak, you’ll need to take off your skis. After a short break that’s perfect for you to take photos of the staggering, snow-covered mountains around you, you’ll ski down to Borovets Ski Resort where you’ll be transferred to the guesthouse for dinner and to claim your reward: a good night’s sleep!
Day 2: Borovets Ski Resort & Departure
In the morning, you’ll get to enjoy a nice breakfast at the guesthouse before spending the whole day skiing on the pistes of Borovets Ski Resort. In the afternoon, there will be a transfer waiting to take you back to Sofia.
The itinerary and the duration of the activities are subject to change due to group abilities, preferences, and weather conditions.
