For kayakers and divers, Kolocep is the most interesting of 13 Elaphiti Islands. Explore the island on this unique kayak tour...
This activity is run and operated from Gruz harbour in Dubrovnik and travels by ferry to Kolocep Island. The tour explores the area's caves and beaches - ending in Donje Celo. Cost of return ferry included.
Meet your guide at Gruz Harbour for this sea kayaking tour of Kolocep Island. One of 13 in the Elaphiti archipelago, this is the untouched Mediterranean at its best - boasting lagoon-like water, blue grottos and shallow reefs resplendent with marine life. A tiny, inhabited, car-free island with pine & olive groves, arriving at the ferry port on the island, you'll head down to the beach where you'll kit up with open deck kayaks - learning the basic paddle strokes you'll need during the day. Following your guide, you'll set off along the shoreline - spending the day discovering stunning beaches, enchanting tidal caves and coral gardens. You'll have a chance to stop for lunch in a local taverna (€10 additional cost) or bring your own picnic - borrowing snorkelling kit for a chance to explore under the water too! By later afternoon, you'll reach Donje Celo where you can take the return ferry back to Dubrovnik.
This activity runs from April-October and is suitable for all ages and abilities. The tour operates using two-seater sit on top kayaks that can accommodate one small child per boat. Single seater kayaks available on request.
