Get ready to engage into 4 days of cold, snow and gliding over fresh snow in the Aneto, the highest mountain of the Pyrenees. Guias de Montaña will take you all the way to the summit, a challenging but rewarding experience!

During this 4 day-ski touring trip in Benasque near the Aneto Peak, you will be part of group of maximum 6 people. You will be trained in the basics so you can be part of this excursion and the activity will be crowned the last day with the ascension of the Aneto.

Although this trip does not require a great technical level, experience in back country skiing is required because medium to high level stages of the trip. Each stage will have difference in height that can difficult, but not as much so you will not be able to conquer it. A good preparation both physically and psychological is advised in order to fulfill your expectations!

Day 1: You will beet at the Pajaro Loco Refuge at 18:00 where you will spend the night. This will help you get ready for the low temperatures and to gather strength before starting the trip.

Day 2: This day will be your first formative day. You will learn ice-ax and crampon techniques that you will be able to practice if their is enough time. You will also make your way to La Reclusa Refuge.

Day 3: On the third day, you will make your way from La Reclusa Refuge to Pico Las Maladatas and back. You will face a positive difference in height of 1150 meters.

Day 4: Finally on day 4, you will part from La Reclusa Refuge to climb the Aneto all the way to its summit. Then you will descend to the Barracs Valley. You'll trip will end in Basurta. During this day you will experience a difference in height of 1240 meters.

- Full ski equipment: Skis, ski skins, batons, boots, ice-ax, shovel
- Warm socks
- Winter coat (3 layers)
- Light gloves
- Ski gloves
- Ski mask
- Crampons
- Harness and carabiner
- Army knife
- Backpack
- Lamp

Objectifs

Reach the summit of the Aneto

Itinéraire

Day 1: Meeting in Pajaro Loco Hostel at 18:00

Day 2: La Reclusa refuge, ice-ax and crampon training. 410 meters of difference in height.

Day 3: La Reclusa refuge to Las Maladetas Peak and back. 1150 meters of difference in height.

Day 4: La Reclusa refuge to Aneto Peak and the Barrancs Valley. 1240 meters of difference in height.

Pré-requis

All participants must be 16 or older and be good skiers with back country skiing.
