Description de l'activité
Come raft with Valldal Naturopplevingar for a refreshing and action-packed outdoor experience in an incredible setting. The exciting rapids are spread out along the entire length of the 11km long Valldøla River.
On the river
The excursion starts with exciting rapids and waves through out the first section of the Valldøla. As the river calms you'll take your first break on the riverbanks. Here, you'll get the opportunity to swim a fun river rapid. It is a surprising and rewarding experience to feel the raw power of the river as you safely float through the waves. Once everyone has cooled off enough swimming in the river, you'll continue downstream through high mountains and endless fields of strawberries.
As you paddle past the halfway point you'll pull out and take a longer stop along the river. You'll light a fire, heat water, and savour delicious Norwegian pancakes with local strawberries and cream. Not only is this a fantastic break, but it's also a great way to refuel before setting out on the final, and swiftest section of the river.
The grade steepens and rapids increase in both number and size. After 11km of beautiful scenery, adventure and excitement the rafts float quietly out into Norddalsfjord through the Valldal village, where you'll head for shore. Back at the office you'll dry off, warm up and reminisce about the wonderful rafting trip.

All the rafting excursions start at the office in the heart of Valldal Village, where you'll be provided with important rafting equipment. Once everyone is wearing their equipment and ready to go you'll take a bus to Hoel Bridge, where the outing begins.
The excursion leader will give a thorough safety briefing, teaching you everything you need to know in order to be safe on the river. Afterwards, the guides will take you to your boats and teach you how to properly sit and paddle to make the outing as fun as possible! At this point you'll be ready to go, and after a quick practice paddle on the river you'll set off down stream!Conditions particulières
The excursion may be canceled or moved unless there are enough guests to carry out the activity.
The river is best in June and July.
The highest water levels occur during the last half of June or after heavy rain. High water means more speed and more fun!
