This tour is run & operated from Linguaglossa and travels to Alcantara Gorge. A 20 km./12 miles route at 700 Mt./ 2300Ft, travelling through Castiglione di Sicilia & Alcantara valley.
Meet your guide in Linguaglossa (700m) for this MTB tour of Alcantara Gorge. An easy & accessible downhill route that travels 20km from the foothills of Etna and through some of Sicily's most beautiful natural features, this tour explores some of the lesser known parts of the island - perfect for a family adventure. Set off from the rustic hilltop village of Linguaglossa and pick up a paved 3km road that cuts through tunnels and along an old railway to Castiglione di Sicilia. Turning off the main track, follow a wild yet well-maintained route to the 'Gurne' a set of natural pools along the Alcantara River - the perfect place to cool off and soak up the views. The last 3km are all about the ride - enjoying the citrus-lined roads as you head towards the Meditteranean where your adventure will end.
Operating during the season from March - October, this tour can accommodate up to 10 passengers and uses Merida Big nine 300, or Electric MTB on request.
