Founded in 1966, Ski the Tasman represents a community of New Zealand's most experienced & qualified mountain guides. Working exclusively with a selection of alpine guides respected for their passion and professionalism, their years of local knowledge is reflected in the range of bespoke backcountry skiing options available.
Travelling by snowplane to some of the Southern Alps' most remote area's, guests can experience the unpisted taste of pure powder runs that extend across Mt. Cook National Park & Tasman Glacier.
All ski guides are professionals - either trained and certified to international standards through the NZMGA* training program, or meet the requirements of the NZ Heli Operators Group.
Ski the Tasman's backcountry skiing excursions include some of the longest runs in the Southern Alps - operating two run packages that are only accessible by snow plane and travel to iconic mountain ranges like Aoraki/Mt. Cook and beyond.
