Your adventure begins at one of the listed meeting points in Rovaniemi (please specify when booking). After the scenic drive to the base camp, you'll be welcomed by your seasoned guide and musher. With your winter gear on, you and your group (a maximum of 8 participants) will receive a safety briefing in addition to an introduction to dog sledding. Then, once you've met your adorable team of dogs, the fun starts!
You'll be whisked away at high speeds through snow-capped forests, admiring the picturesque panorama as you go. Midway through the 12-18 km (7-11 mile) tour, you and the dogs will take a break. This is an excellent opportunity to take photos and you are more than welcome to switch drivers at this time. Upon your return to the base, you'll be treated to warm hot berry juice and cookies by an open fire. Your guide will share fascinating insights about dog sledding and the everyday lives of these incredible animals. After you've said your farewells to your four-legged friends, you'll return to the original departure point in Rovaniemi with lifelong memories of your time in Finnish Lapland!
