Experience a half-day snowmobiling excursion through snowy forests and the beautiful nature of Lapland in Rovaniemi. Welcoming adventurers from ages 14 and up!
Rovaniemi is the largest city of Lapland, located in northern Finland. The region is characterised by its diverse landscapes, with dense forests, snowy mountains and frozen swamps and lakes. Snowmobiling is the perfect excursion to discover the remote wilderness of Rovaniemi!
The trip begins by meeting your guide at the starting point in Rovaniemi (pick up is available from specified locations upon booking). You will go through a safety briefing and snowmobile driving lesson. The group sizes are small and the speed and the length of the safari depend on each group, so both beginners and advanced riders are welcome! Each snowmobile will be shared in pairs, with one driver and one passenger and the opportunity to switch during the tour.
Following the guide, you will set off into the snowy forests. The snowmobile trail will take you to the most beautiful places in the Arctic Circle area! Experience the wilderness of Rovaniemi off the beaten track by reaching more untouched routes. There will be plenty of opportunities for breaks to capture photos and to switch drivers if you wish. This longer excursion will allow you to become a true snowmobiling master! After the excursion, you will return to the starting point and be transferred back to Rovaniemi.
This half-day snowmobiling adventure is perfect for those who want to discover the natural beauty of the Lappish forests in Rovaniemi in a thrilling way!
For this activity, each snowmobile is shared between two, with one driver and one passenger and the opportunity to switch.
Course of events
- Meet at the starting point in Rovaniemi or pick up from listed location
- Safety briefing and snowmobile driving lesson
- Receive Arctic gear and equipment
- The snowmobiling adventure begins!
- Drive through the snowy forest for approximately 50-70km / 30-40mi (3 hours)
- Return to the starting point
- Transfer back to pick-up point in Rovaniemi
Activity requirements
Snowmobile drivers must hold a valid driver's license (category B). Please bring the original document with you on the day of the activity.
