Activity description
Mountain running, this addictive sport and permanent self-improvement activity, is a demanding sport that you need to train for. If you are looking for a course that can help you progress, follow the pros of Dahu Ariégeois!
Course program: physical development and practical advice!
The 2 days are a preparation that consists of accumulating a large number of altitude difference and kilometers over two or three days.
The ideal, if you practice mountain running regularly and intensively, is to incorporate this course in a training cycle and renew it several times a year. It is also a perfect physical preparation 15 to 21 days before a race goal to cause the body to be overcompensated physically the day of the event.
Typical program
Day 1
- Trail in the mountains on a beautiful ridge line.
- Sequence of several climbs and descents: between 14 and 20km, 1000 to 1500m of elevation gain approximately (depending on the levels)
- Your instructor will analyze your level (technical support uphill and downhill, effort management, use of sticks ...) to adapt the circuit.
- Sheathing and muscle reinforcement.
Day 2:
- Trail in the mountains on a superb course: between 15 and 20km, 1200 to 2000m elevation gain depending on the progression.
- Endurance management, work descent supports, feeding during the effort.
- Afternoon: analysis of objectives and development of individual training plans.
This option grants you access to the 2 days discovery training of mountain running.
You'll have theory classes to analyse, understand and improve your technic.
You can be filmed during your runs to allow a better analysis afterwards.
You'll evolve in groups of 6 participants maximum. The level will be adapted to the group.
You'll have access to: classrooms, recuperation room (sauna, jaccuzzi...), weights room.
Objectives
During the course:
- analysis of your step with your instructor
- understand and study your running technics
- work on your downhill feet support
- understand and analyse your heart rate and breathing stages...
Participants must have a good mountain running level.
