In summer, discover the Devil's canyon in the heart of the Hérault gorges just 45 minutes from Montpellier, southern France!
The Devil's Canyon (Canyon du Diable) is located near the medieval village of Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert in the heart of the Hérault gorges. Thanks to its typical Mediterranean limestone landscapes, the village became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It is a discovery canyon accessible from age 6 and adapted to all as it consists of fun obstacles like jumps from 1 to 10 meters, a zip line ending in the water, spider rappelling and many other aquatic obstacles which are all optional.
You meet your guide at 9:30 am or at 2 pm at the Grotte de Clamouse bus stop, between the Devil's Bridge (Pont du Diable) and Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert (line 308 from Montpellier).
The activity lasts about 3 hours. After a short briefing, you walk for 2 minutes to arrive at the departure of the course. Throughout the descent of the canyon, you cross the Hérault river in an exceptional setting! Then you return to the starting point in about 15 minutes.
