Burgundy, wines, historical basilicas... And especially the region of origin of France Montgolfières! Fly with them for a real journey in time and nature!
Burgundy is a region that has kept a strong mark of the history of France and Vézelay, in particular, for its Basilica of Saint Mary Magdalene, part of World Heritage Site by Unesco. This spiritual site is located at the top of the hill of Vézelay, a real beauty of green landscapes and stone vestiges.
It's a s tarting point for the pilgrimage to St Jacques de Compostelle and also where you will take off in a balloon, your spirit loaded with History in search of all the secrets of this rich region!
Depending on the wind, you will also be able to see the Salt Fountains (2500 BC) as well as the thermal baths implanted by the Romans.
A dream outing for nature and history lovers!
You're in for a 3 hour adventure with approximately 1 hour in the airs.
- First things first, you'll watch the inflation of the balloon before climbing into the basket for a 1 hour flight.
- After you take off, you'll just follow the winds around the mountains and over the trees to touch the clouds with the tips of your fingers...
- During the flight, your guide will be in permanent contact with the team on land who will welcome you when you come back.
- Once the balloon is deflated and folded you can enjoy a typical pilots aperitive.
- Before you go back to the village, you'll receive a flight diploma.
Children that are less than 1.2 metres high can't take part in the activity.
Pregnant women should not fly in a hot air balloon.
If you have medical issues such as hips, heart, lungs, blood pressure problems, you should ask your GP for an authorisation to fly.
