Looking for something more challenging than rock climbing or embarking on an uphill trek? Via ferrata is the perfect alternative for you since it’s a mix of scrambling and climbing as you make your way on a marked route that’s securely equipped with bolted anchors, fixed ladders, steel cables, and metal rungs.
Your certified guide will provide you with a helmet and via ferrata kit so that you’ll be good to go! This easy via ferrata route is ideal for those who are starting out on vertical terrain and just getting more accustomed to carabiners and ropes. You’ll have a fun climb while discovering a spectacular environment, taking in views of the lush, green terrain and the rays of the sun dancing with the waterfalls.
With a total drop of 120 meters, Cascate di Fanes (Fanes Waterfalls) is a magical wonderland. After a short, easy approach in the woods, you’ll go up the first waterfall before passing next to a pristine river. From there, you’ll climb a second waterfall with a short via ferrata.
Together with your guide, take on the challenge and experience a fun and adventurous excursion in Cascate di Fanes!

From the beautiful plateau of Pian de Loa (1349 meters), you will make your way into the forest along a path that follows the left side of the Rio Fanes river. After an hour, you will arrive on the edge of the deep gorge engraved by the creek. From here, you descend on a little path that continues on the left bank until you must walk up the stream, passing rocky jumps with ladders. Eventually, you will reach a narrow between the rocks that leads to a passage under the first waterfall and comes out on the other side.
Option 1: After the passage, you'll follow a dirt road that passes Ponte Outo (a bridge 80 meters above the gorge of the stream) and leads back to the parking lot.
Option 2: You can make the complete tour of the waterfalls by taking the path equipped with fixed ropes that crosses 250 meters downstream of the staging point. This leads back to the river bed where it continues to climb up from where it came down.Special terms
