A UNESCO World Heritage site cherished for its hidden bays, aquamarine lagoons and some of the largest dunes in Europe the Curonian Spit is one of Lithuania's proudest conservation areas. Watch cormorants as they glide on summer thermals and paddle along the coastline's shallow waters on this kayak tour - visiting unique landscapes only accessible from the tide line.

This activity is run & operated from Klaipėda and travels through Curonian Spit National Park - visiting Pervalka, Curonian Lagoon & the sand dunes on a 10km tour.
Activity
Meet your guide for this full day sea kayaking tour of Curonian Spit National Park. Travelling from Klaipėda to the Curion Spit by ferry, you'll get to experience parts of this UNESCO World Heritage Site that very few get to see - exploring drifting sand dunes, pine forests and fine beaches. Starting with a short safety briefing and demo, you'll follow your guide on a route rich in cultural heritage and fishing folklore, charting a course along the coastline of the nature reserve. Discover majestic sand dunes while paddling on the safe and shallow waters of the coastline, learning more about the area from the local guide - stopping for a traditional lunch and tour of Pervalka fishing village. Keep an eye out for the Great Dune Ridge as you travel back down the lagoon - navigating dive bombing cormorants as they fish in the shallows! A quick transfer back via ferry, your return transport will be waiting to take you back to Klaipėda.
Conditions
Operating from April to October, this tour uses two-seater closed deck touring kayaks (single seater on request). Please note this activity operates with a two-person minimum per tour.
