Go for a guided hike of about 4 hours to discover the great gorges of the Black River Gorges National Park in Mauritius!
The Black River Gorges National Park is one of the must-visit sites during a stay in Mauritius. It is a green setting full of hiking trails. Between breathtaking views of the gorges and encounters with the endemic fauna and flora of Mauritius, you will be able to take full advantage of the park's environment during this guided hike of about 4 hours!
During your walk, you will stop at several viewpoints to contemplate the magnificent waterfalls and mountains of the Black River Gorges National Park, as well as a superb panoramic view extending to the lagoon of southwest Mauritius. A loop in the primary forest of Macchabée will allow you to discover not only the diversity of the island's flora, but also some of the endemic species found there, such as the pink pigeon that you might be lucky enough to meet!
Your guide will also lead you to the breathtaking viewpoint from the top of the Mare aux Joncs waterfall, with wild guavas in season that you can taste along the way.
