Activity description

Norway Husky Adventure's most exciting mushing trip! Experience an overnight dog sledding excursion in the wild among loyal huskies and the beautiful Norwegian night sky!

This two-day mushing, or dogsledding, outing is the ultimate Norwegian experience. Norway Husky Adventures invites you on this overnight tour in which you'll spend the night in a lavvo, a traditional Scandinavian tent at their kennel.

This amazing and once in a lifetime trip will take place in the beautiful wild snowy woods of Kopperå. On board of a sled being pulled by a hound of loyal dogs, you'll travel through incredible mountain and forest landscapes. These wildlands are home to lynx, elk, reindeer, and the occasional wolverine, keep your eyes open so you can witness these majestic beasts.

The professional guides will go through the equipment, explain you the correct way to drive the sled and how to take care of your loyal husky team.

At night, you'll spend the night in a tent like the old Scandinavians used to. You'll be kept warm by reindeer skins and a winter sleeping bag. Only the sounds of the woods at night, the wind, and the dogs will disturb the peaceful silence.

If you are lucky enough, you'll return home with a fond memory of the northern lights!

After loading the sleds and preparing the teams you'll set off, going uphill and through the forest until you arrive at the mountain plateau.

Once there, you'll stop for lunch, with an incredible view of the surrounding mountains, before returning to the kennels. After taking care of the dogs, you’ll prepare an evening meal for all the team, cooking over an open fire and you’ll get to taste traditional Norweigan food. You'll be able to relax with a good book or do some. If you're lucky, you might witness the Northern lights.
