Are you looking to do something different whilst on vacation in the beautiful city of Porto? Then you must try out the canyoning adventures Detours has for you!
The Rio de Frades canyon is located in Serra da Freita, a mountain range in Portugal, situated an hour away from Porto. It has two sections lower part & upper part; depending on your level of experience, the tour will be adapted to you.
The lower part, which happens to be the easiest part, has two abseils, one of 7 m. and another one of 13 m. and jumps that vary between 2 m. up to 10 m. high!
The upper part is much more challenging; you’ll abseil down 70 m. high, jump off heights that go from 4 m. up to 11 m. and swim in natural water pools!
Once the journey is done, you will enjoy a picnic, provided by Detours, so you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery!
Your guide will pick you up at your accomodation to take you to the departure point of the activity.
Course of events
Participants must be at least 8 years old and be accompanied by a legal guardian at all times.
All participants must be able to swim.
