Activity description

Have you always dreamt about riding in the snow at a high speed? Join Kiruna Guidetur today for an unforgettable snowmobile adventure in Kiruna, the heart of Swedish Lapland!

Snowmobiles have been used for a long time in northern Sweden for transportation. To glide over the snow off-track is a great way to get closer to nature, and to discover the beautiful Scandinavian nature only to be found this close to the Arctic Circle. Whether you have previous snowmobiling experience or not, you can count on Kiruna Guidetur taking you on an unforgettable experience in Swedish Lapland.

Even better, depending on the trip of your choice, you might even be lucky enough to see the Nothern LightsThe only requirement is for the drivers to possess a driver's license for a car or an MC. Join Kiruna Guidetur today, you won't regret it!

The different adventures:

- 3.5 hours day snowmobile trip
Perfect for anyone who has a limited amount of time but still wants to explore Nordic winter nature. The tour is taking place alongside the extraordinary Torne River. The distance covered is 15-30 km. With a smaller group and modern snowmobiles, you will not only discover the scenic winter landscapes of Kiruna. Also, you will be given the possibility to enjoy a coffee, sandwich in a wooden hut sitting on reindeer skins around an open fire.

- 4 hours Northern lights snowmobile trip
Have you always dreamt about seeing the Northern lights? Even better, to do so driving a snowmobile? Then this is the perfect trip for you! Drive alongside Torne river valley with the headlight of the snowmobile guiding your way. Once you stop the snowmobiles, the silence is total and the sky bursts out in different colours. This will be followed by you enjoying some of Lapland's delicacies in a cabin listening to the guide telling stories about the Aurora. The total distance covered is 20-30 km.

 5 hours day snowmobile tour
For the one who wishes to drive for a longer distance of 30-50 km, this is the perfect tour for you. It takes place alongside Torne River where you will drive and explore off track routes. The tour will, of course, finish up with you enjoying a sandwich and coffee around an open fire in a wooden hut.
