The wildlife safari begins by meeting the experienced guide at the starting point in Stockholm. From there, you’ll drive to the magnificent Sörmland Forest, located south of Stockholm. Sörmland Forest covers a significant portion of Sörmland County and is characterised by dense woodlands, rolling hills, tranquil lakes, and winding rivers. Upon arrival, you’ll have a quick safety briefing, before the adventure begins!

You’ll set off following on or off-track routes, exploring the depths of the peaceful Swedish wilderness. As you venture into the wolves’ natural habitat, the guide will show you how to track their footprints, killings and droppings, while you listen carefully for their howls. The expert guide will share insights about wolf behaviour and migratory patterns. The area is also home to many other Nordic wildlife that you may encounter, such as roe deer, fallow deer, wild boars, and moose. In the winter months, you’ll be treated to a magical white wonderland, with snowy trees and frozen lakes. 

Midway through the hike, you’ll stop to enjoy a warm meal prepared on an open fire, followed by traditional Swedish Fika (snacks and hot drinks). Then, you’ll ascend to a hilltop, where the guide will give a howling call to the wolves. Sometimes, the wolves respond, creating an enchanting moment in the mystical forest. At the end of the safari, you’ll travel back to the starting point in Stockholm.
