Kayakferðir Stokkseyri

Icelandic Kayaktours (Kayakferðir) opened in 1995 and offers kayaking tours of the epic nature that is Iceland. Kayaking tours allow visitors to immerse themselves in the ice lagoons. The ponds are connected by slim canals allowing for access to each body of water. 

There is also the Flóaáveita, a massive irrigation structure created between 1918 -1927 that covers over 12 thousand hectares.The tours venture through this area on the way out to sea. With the cooperation of the Bird Protection Society of Iceland and the Icelandic Institute of Natural History, Kayakferðir has helped keep the area wild with minimal impact on the surrounding environment.
