Activity description
This is a brief introductory course that teaches you basic dive theory, skills and the use of scuba equipment. It is an ideal course for people who want to experience breathing underwater for the first time, or who are interested in continuing with the Open Water Diver course but would like to have a trial experience first.
You will be taught the use and function of diving equipment, basic dive theory, skills and safety rules in diving and you will go on an introductory dive under the direct supervision of an instructor at a maximum depth of 6 meters/ 20 feet.
Theoretical part
You will learn the basics of diving and how to prepare the diving gear.
Practical part
You will go in the sea, in shallow waters, enough to stay standing and perform some introductory dive in order to improve your diving skills. The guides are always there to a ensure safe and enjoyable dive.
There is no certification received at the end of the course. The minimum age for taking part in the Discover Scuba Diving course is 10 years old for children (written parental or guardian approval required) or 18 years old.
The diving spot
Located on the Southside of the island, this Dive Base is fully equipped to serve as both the starting point for dive excursions and also a great location for courses.
The bottom is sandy and smooth and the sea is usually calm, making this a great spot for courses and experience dives! The "house reefs" on the island are just a quick boat ride away, and more diverse dive spots are within 20-30 minutes boat ride.
