A safe and accessible way of reaching some of the highest peaks in the Alps, Luca Gasparini founded Dolomitesfun in 2000 with the aim to offer the very best climbing adventures this historical hiking location has to offer.

stretching along the provinces of Belluno, Trento and South Tyrol in northeastern Italy, the Iron Road dates back to WWI when mountaineers used these inaccessible pathways - only known to the locals, as tactile pathways across borders. Today, these strategic trails are run, operated and maintained by a collective of IFGMA Mountain Guides like Luca.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009, the Dolomites are a paradise for hikers, rock climbers, mountain bikers and skiers. However, one of its most outstanding attractions the diverse range of via ferrata routes that range from 190 meters to 1200! The highest point is Punta Penia, a 3343 m peak of the Marmolada massif, known as ‘the Queen of the Dolomites’.

From children to expert climbers, almost anyone in a good physical condition can climb a via ferrata. In the Dolomites, there are routes for every level: beginners, intermediate and advanced climbers.

Offering two signature via ferrata excursions from Campitello di Fassa in Trentino, Dolomites Fun explores the upper echelons of Col Rodella and Finanzieri al Ciampac - renowned as family-friendly courses connected to the resort by a handy cable car that runs throughout the year.

Near Canazei on the border between the Italian provinces of Belluno and Bolzano, this village boasts a strategic location for a trip in the Dolomite mountains. The Marmolada ―the highest mountain in the whole range― and Piz Boé are accessible from here, as well as the mountain passes of Pordoi and Sella.

The ideal addition to any adventure holiday in the Dolomites, join Luca for one of his challenging yet endlessly rewarding via ferrata excursions - with jaw-dropping views that are definitely worth the climb!
